ASNT Engineering Undergraduate Award

The Undergraduate Engineering Scholarship is established to financially aid undergraduate students pursuing engineering degrees, particularly in the area of nondestructive testing (NDT). The scholarship's goal is to support promising students in reaching their academic objectives and promoting the growth of the NDT sector.

The scholarship amount is $3,000.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible candidates are undergraduate students currently enrolled in a recognized engineering program at a college or university at the time of application. Applicants must demonstrate that their expected graduation date is beyond the date of the scholarship disbursement. Additionally, candidates should exhibit a keen interest in nondestructive testing and evaluation.
Selection Process
Each year, up to three students are chosen based on the following factors:
- Academic achievements as reflected in transcripts.
- Quality of essay submission.
- Clarity and comprehensibility.
- Potential impact on the NDT field.
- Supporting letters from faculty members.
- Overall impression.
Application Requirements
Students interested in the scholarship must provide the following:
- An original essay (not exceeding 500 words) that outlines their understanding of NDT/NDE, any prior education in NDT/NDE, their expected future contributions to NDT/NDE, and how the scholarship will benefit their NDT/NDE career.
- Official transcripts detailing all completed coursework.
- A detailed plan of the student's course of study.
- Three separate recommendation letters from faculty members.
