The Horatio Alger Association oversees more than 70 scholarship offerings that help students at different points in their educational journeys pursue their academic objectives and reach their potential. Details about available programs are summarized below.

- Completing a single application will automatically consider you for all scholarships for which you meet the criteria, with the exception of certain Specialized Scholarships (see the Scholarship Programs section for those exceptions).

Horatio Alger O. Wayne Rollins Scholar Program
Award Amount: 50 scholarships of $15,000 each
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a full-time high school junior enrolled in the state of Georgia. (Note: 25 of these scholarships are specifically reserved for students from Walker, Catoosa, Dade, Chattooga, Gordon, Floyd, Whitfield, and Bartow counties.)
- Plan to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited, non-profit public or private U.S. institution immediately following high school graduation. (Students may begin at a two-year college and later transfer to a four-year institution.)
- Demonstrate financial need: adjusted gross family income must be $100,000 or less.
- Participate in co-curricular and community service activities.
- Show integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
- Maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA).
- Be a citizen of the United States.
