Metro Youth Football Association (MYFA) is now accepting applications—accompanied by letters of recommendation—for the MYFA Legacy Scholarships and the John Pierce Volunteer Scholarship for 2026. Applications are due by August 16, 2025 and are available via their respective links below. Overview and selection
- Recipients are chosen each year by the MYFA Scholarship Committee. Awards for 2026 include two distinct scholarships described below.
Award details and eligibility
- MYFA Legacy Scholarships ($1,500 each): Four scholarships of $1,500 will be presented to students who graduate in spring 2026, who participated in the MYFA tackle program, and who continue to play football at the varsity level.
- John Pierce Memorial Scholarship ($1,000): One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating in spring 2026 who participated in the MYFA tackle program; varsity participation is optional for this award.
Use of funds
- Scholarship funds may be applied toward continued education at a two- or four-year college/university or for coursework in a skilled trade program.
