Overview
The Trustees of the Richard F. Walsh / Alfred W. Di Tolla / Harold P. Spivak Foundation annually award ten scholarships. Each recipient receives $10,000 total, distributed as $2,500 per year over four years. Including the 2024 cohort, the Foundation has helped 130 students pursue college degrees.

Application deadline and submission rules
The deadline for the Foundation’s Annual Scholarship application is firm: December 31 of each year. No exceptions will be made. To be considered, the completed application must either arrive at the Foundation office by December 31 or be mailed with a postmark dated no later than December 31. Emailed applications will not be accepted.
Supporting documents and timing
Required supporting materials include:
- Official high school transcript
- Letter(s) of recommendation
- A list of extracurricular activities with your role(s) and responsibilities
These ancillary documents may be submitted after the application itself but must arrive by the first week of March of the year following the application deadline.
Notification and announcement
Scholarship recipients will be informed on or before June following the application year. Winners will also be published in the next issue of The Official Bulletin.

Q: How do I apply?
A: Download the Foundation’s application form, complete it, and mail it along with your official high school transcript, recommendation letter(s), and the extracurricular activity list to the Foundation Office. Applications sent by email will not be considered.
Q: When is the deadline?
A: The completed application must be received or postmarked by December 31 each year. Recipients will be notified by or before the following June and their names will appear in the subsequent issue of The Official Bulletin.
