Oregon Farm Bureau Memorial Scholarships

Benton County Farm Bureau supports local young people who are planning to continue their education.
Eligibility
- Must be a resident of Benton County.
- Must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment this academic year at an accredited institution of higher education.
- Applicant must explain how their chosen course of study connects to or will benefit agriculture.
Application requirements
- Major or program in Agriculture, Forestry, or another agriculture-related field.
- Enrollment as a full-time student (minimum 12 credits/units per quarter or term).
- Two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher who is not a relative and one from a non-related adult.
- A completed application form. Incomplete or late submissions will be disqualified.
- Official transcript from the most recent school attended (high school or college).
- Signed application (signature required).
Selection and procedure
- Applications must be submitted by June 1, 2026. A personal interview may be requested of top candidates.
- Scholarship funds will not be released if the recipient has not enrolled and begun attendance by January 2027.
- Recipients will be invited to attend the Benton County Farm Bureau annual meeting (held on the third Wednesday in October). If the recipient cannot attend, they may provide a letter to be read at the meeting describing themselves and their academic plans.
Award information
- Provided that qualified applications are received, at least three scholarships will be awarded, each up to $1,000. A Farm Bureau membership will also be provided to recipients when applicable.
