MPhA Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Maryland Pharmacists Association
The Maryland Pharmacists Association (MPhA) and the MPhA Foundation are dedicated to supporting student pharmacists as they prepare to shape the future of pharmacy practice. These scholarships reflect both organizations’ goals: MPhA’s work to fortify the pharmacy profession, represent Maryland pharmacists, and encourage excellence in practice; and the MPhA Foundation’s efforts to invest in future pharmacists, acknowledge innovation in practice, and foster philanthropic leadership.
Award details
- Four student pharmacist members will each receive a $1,500 scholarship.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following at the time they submit their materials:
- Be enrolled in a pharmacy program located in Maryland, or be a Maryland resident attending an out-of-state pharmacy school.
- Hold student membership in the Maryland Pharmacists Association.
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing at their school of pharmacy.
Required application materials
Submit the following items electronically by the deadline:
1. A completed online application form.
2. An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV).
3. Two letters of recommendation (one letter must be from a faculty member).
4. An essay of no more than 750 words addressing ONE of the prompts below.
Essay prompts (choose one)
a. Describe how you, as a student pharmacist, would promote the pharmacy profession — include current activities, and your goals for practice innovation, advancements, or leadership roles.
b. Explain what aspects of the pharmacy profession most inspire or excite you.
c. Discuss what led you to join the Maryland Pharmacists Association (or other state/national pharmacy organizations) and how you would actively support and contribute to the Association.

- All materials must be uploaded through the online application by Monday, April 6, 2026, 11:59 PM EST. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
